How do we achieve this?
There are four key components that determine overall health and fitness. When these components are in balance and equally exercised, you will gain maximum results in your training towards your goal.
Strength
(resistance training) builds muscular strength which promotes a healthy skeletal posture and mechanical alignment of the body. It also maintains muscle mass which aids in the efficiency of your base metabolic rate i.e. efficient metabolism to keep your optimal desired weight and sustain a constant body weight.
Stamina
(cardiovascular) training increases heart muscle strength in order for it to efficiently supply your body with the oxygen and blood required for all of your vital functions and also protects you against heart disease.
Suppleness
(flexibility) training opens the communication lines in your neurotransmitters (brain to body connection) which assist with function, injury prevention and healing. Incorporating flexibility into your work out also counters the muscle contractions and shortening as a result from strength and stamina training. This ensures you remain supple and avoid stiffness and aches as your body changes.
Self-awareness
